Livery

At White House Farm Livery we provide the highest quality, full livery service. We pride ourselves in taking that extra care for you and your horse. Individual attention is given to every horse and person from thoroughbred to Shetland Pony and from beginner to competition rider.

We believe that having equal regard for all people and horses as individuals creates a friendly and relaxed environment within which all our owners can enjoy their horse.

Security & Supervision
The proprietor lives on site providing 24hr supervision and the only access to the stables is via the driveway, immediately next to the proprietor’s house. All horses are in full view when turned out.

Stabling
All horses are housed in Large Indoor Stable block, painted in traditional black and white and built in such away that there is virtually no fire risk. The stable block contains 18 of the highest quality 12ft x 14 ft brick built and Loddon fronted loose boxes.

You will not find finer livery stabling facilities in Norfolk.

Bedding is the owner’s choice although some, for example wood shavings, will be an additional cost over straw. Stables are mucked out daily and skipped out regularly throughout the day. Owners are free, within reason, to add stable fixtures and fittings as they wish. All our stables are equipped with automatic water system, feeders and tie rings.

Care & Turnout
We have the luxury of 20 acres of the finest grazing. This means we can rest all our paddocks regularly; so there is always good grass available. This is particularly so, even in dry summers where some of our acres are lush, marshland grazing.
Rugging up, picking out feet, grooming, exercise, thorough visual check are part of the daily routine – There are no hidden extra charges because we regard this as basic good practice.

Feeding
Livery includes basic short feed, provided to the horse two or three times a day, as required. We are happy to include feed supplements, balancers or specific mixes in your horse’s diet but we do ask that you supply us with these items at your own cost. Hay or haylage is provided morning and evening, and in the afternoon if necessary.

Grooming
As above we regard this as basic good practice. All our staff have horses for which they are responsible and we have in built monitoring systems to ensure that all horses receive that important daily care and attention.

Vets' Visits, Worming & Shoeing
Keeping your horse at White House Farm takes the worry out of stable management: you don’t have to worry about organizing routine veterinary visits, coordinating your worming programme or arranging for the farrier to shoe your horse. We use Three Rivers Veterinary Practice and Chapelfield Veterinary Partnership. We can also look after horses' rehabilitation, and will work with a vet of your choice to return your horse back to full health.

We follow a sensible worming programme in consultation with our vets. The costs of wormer will be passed on to owners, but is administered free.

We can also arrange for your horse to be shod as necessary by our farrier Mr G Harvey. If you have an established farrier you are welcome to use them.

Of added interest to you might be the fact that we have are the choice of more than one vet for tuition and the care of their own horse.

Tack Storage
Each livery owner is provided their own space in a lockable tack room, which includes a saddle rack and bridle peg and lockable box. This is self-contained within the stable block just yards from your horse. All livery clients are issued with their own keys.

Use Of Yard Facilities
Our facilities and situation combine to create a superb and unique place to stable your horse. Livery customers can make use of all facilities, free of charge. We can also provide qualified tuition and hold a range of events specifically for livery owners.

Facilities include;

Gallops
Off road Hacking

Situated in relatively remote countryside, White House Farm looks out over the Hardley and Langley Marshes. The local roads are extremely quiet and invariably hacking can involve encountering little or no traffic. There are also miles of off road hacking in the most beautiful of quiet, unspoilt countryside. The area is one of Norfolk’s best kept secrets.

Extra Attention and Support
We repeatedly receive feedback that this aspect of White House Farm is beyond that which people have previously experienced. This includes supervision and help for children with their ponies giving parents peace of mind.

Rigorous attention to Health and Safety
We value both yours and your horse’s safety.
We have a comprehensive Health and Safety Policy that annual inspection has confirmed is second to none and all activities have recorded risk assessments and are available for viewing.
